“Enduring Connections” Sculpture unveiling

Enduring Connections, a 16 foot sculpture by blacksmith artist Paul Reimer will be unveiled at Heritage Park.
Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. June 19 – August 7
Bring your blanket or lawn chair to this free music series featuring Canadian talent. Grab a bite to eat at the on-site BBQ or bring a picnic to enjoy. Fun for kids and adults alike! Come early to get a good spot and hear our Special Guest performances, starting at 6:30 p.m.

The Stony Plain-Kinsmen Farmers’ Days Rodeo and Exhibition is a three-day festival that runs May 31 to June 2, 2019 at Heritage Park. It’s the biggest event of the year!

Every year, the Stony Plain and Spruce Grove & District Chambers of Commerce partner to host the Tri-Municipal Expo. This 3-day event is an opportunity for the Town of Stony Plain Council to network with residents, stakeholders, and community partners.
Again this year, the theme of the Town’s booth is “Connect with Council”. The Mayor and Town Councillors will be on hand to speak with residents about important projects, programs and events.
The Gear workshop, located at the Stony Plain Youth Centre, strives to be a hub for bicycle activity in our community. Youth are welcome to bring in and work on their own bikes under the guidance of staff during drop in hours. If youth do not have a bike, they are welcome to come in and work on Gear project bikes.

Psycho-Educational, Support series
6 rotating topics on Addiction & Mental Health issues
It is a psycho educational open support series for individuals with Addiction and Mental Health concerns. It provides a timely response and intervention option for those seeking Addiction and Mental Health services.
Individuals can choose to attend all, or selective topics that are meaningful to them. The potential benefits are increased self-awareness, reduction in symptoms, new ways of thinking and improvement in day to day functioning.
Addiction and Mental Health concerns can impact an individuals’ life when it becomes problematic and it interferes with day-to-day activities. This can put a strain on relationships, hinder work performance and reduce level of functioning overall.
To provide an opportunity to understand the challenges impacting one’s life and the steps in how to begin the recovery process with the understanding that recovery is a personal journey. This group provides an opportunity for individuals to share, as well as learn recovery concepts and strategies.
Family Members and/or significant others who have loved ones that are struggling with Addiction and Mental Health concerns are also welcome. They may benefit by increased understanding of Addiction and Mental Health as well as strategies to support loved ones who are struggling.
It’s that time of year again to register for Pitch-In Week! Stony Plain Residents, Schools and other organizations are encouraged to volunteer their time to perform a clean-up in our Community between April 22-29.

This event gives residents the opportunity to go to one location and experience the variety of recreation programs, volunteer opportunities, cultural activities and services available in Stony Plain, Spruce Grove and Parkland County.
Pavilion at Heritage Park

Get in from the cold with your pre-schoolers! The Pavilion will be open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10am-11:30am during the months of January, February, and March for parents walking with strollers or parents/guardians looking to keep their children active this winter. Walk along side your child while they get to use their summer ride-on toys.
Helmets are required for anyone on any ride-on toy.
Indoor footwear required.
Maximum 3 children/ guardian.
Children must be supervised at all times and sign-in/waiver is required.
The Town of Stony Plain will not provide any equipment for this program.
This is a drop-in, free event for children under the age of 5.
